MESSAGES

CHAIRMAN

SYED NAEEM UL HASSAN

I am pleased to submit our five years report full of struggle with sacrifices, dedication and hard work. The idea of providing Free Primary Healthcare Services to the poor and needy came to mind in 1989 and a proposal was submitted to Mian Nawaz Sharif then Prime Minister of Pakistan. The proposal was appreciated was forwarded to the concerned department but was not implemented. I thereafter decided to move forward and formed. Children Health & Education Foundation a NGO which started operation in September 2003.

The objective of the Foundation was based on the premise that large Specialty Hospitals were being built at exorbitant cost to manage end-stage Diseases whereas at a fraction of a cost these very Diseases could have been detected prevented and treated in a Primary Care Facility. This was based on over 18 years of experience at the LRBT and Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital where Blindness could have been prevented and Cancer could
have been treated if they had been detected earlier at a extremely low cost at a Primary Care Centre. Convinced with this idea we developed a vision of establishing these much needed Primary Health Care Centers all over Pakistan so as to provide Free Consultation Diagnoses Treatment and the Medications for common ailments which if left undetected or untreated at the initial stages can lead to Kidney failure, Terminal Cancer, Blindness, Heart Disease the list is endless. A unique Model was established to provide (at the same premises) Educational activities in the morning. Vocational Training in the afternoon and Healthcare in the evening

FINANCE ADVISOR TO PRIME MINISTER

MR SHAUKAT TARIN

It gives me a great pleasure to say that the Children Health and Education Foundation (CHAEF) have been providing primary healthcare services and quality primary education free of cost to the children belonging to the poor families at their doorstep by establishing primary healthcare centers, primary schools and vocational training centres for girls in their own areas.

I was very pleased to learn that CHAEF is not only treating common disease at their primary healthcare centers but they also try to diagnose deadly diseases at very initial stage with the help of American Healthcare System, thus preventing them turning into terminal diseases. CHAEF also aims to provide free quality computer training and vocational training Centre to the underprivileged – a Herculean task.

CHAEF should be congratulated for having such a noble cause, reward of which can only be given by Allah Almighty.

Its activities in its chosen fields of pm in its chosen fields of primary and vocational education and healthcare for the poor are growing boy the poor are growing both in terms of range of facilities and the number of beneficiaries. It is heartening to note that in tening to note that in a very short span of time, the organization ged its way forward to the West and North of Pakistan by establishing onal office in Lahore with the objective of extending its services not my to the poor and underprivileged segments of Punjab but also to the lar sections of society in NWFP.

Progressing at this pace, hopefully, the day is not far off when CHAEF will have its network of schools and healthcare centers cutting across the whole length and breadth of Pakistan. Former Vice President, Makkah Hilton Hotel

Mr. Shuja Zaidi

It is indeed a matter of great satisfaction for me that Children Health and Education Foundation (CHAEF) has ever since its inception been rendering valuable service to the most
vulnerable section of the society” CHILDREN. What impresses me most about this organization is the immenseness of their mission which combines two different but vital activities, namely, provision of Education and healthcare services. These two areas are the most neglected in Pakistan notwithstanding the best efforts of the current government to bring about improvement in both. The NGO’s like CHAEF are rendering a valuable service by filling the large and cumulative vacuum in these areas created by decades of neglect.

Looking to their Education and healthcare projects and the future plans, one can only admire their zeal and consistent efforts. Certainly, blessed are those who render selfless service to
the less fortunate segments of society.

PARTON, CHILDREN HEALTH AND EDUCATION FOUNDATION

DR. YOUSUF KAMAL MIRZA

Children Health and Education Foundation (CHAEF) is working exclusively to provide primary healthcare facilities and quality primary education to poor and needy people, so that the children of our country have a healthy mind and body as both have a compulsory relationship.

CHAEF have a unique system of providing effective treatment of common disease, It has been following American Healthcare System where more than 30 common diseases have been identified, their scientific protocols of management are prepared, healthcare professional trained in them and then a complete protocol for diagnosis and generic medicines to test quality.

In the field of education, CHAEF have been trying to provide quality education to the poor and needy children at their doorsteps by setting up primary schools and vocational training centers in slums and poor localities.

I congratulate CHAEF for having a vision that with continued support and financial assistance of all well wishers it can spread such a network not only in Karachi, but in fact the model can be replicated in every part of the country with minimum financial commitments.

Please come and join us and reap the rewards, which only the Almighty can bestow upon you.
